Individuals account: If the applicant to open the account is a natural individual. What are the maximum limits for transactions?
The maximum limit of the total value of the debit transactions (including withdrawals, transfers and check withdrawals) in the account, with a daily maximum of 60,000 Egyptian pounds and not exceeding 200,000 Egyptian pounds per month, provided that the maximum account balance is 150,000 Egyptian pounds and such limits can be changed according to any amendments by the Central Bank of Egypt.
Economic activity account: If the applicant for opening the account is a company, micro-enterprise, self-employed or craftsman that does not have documents or headquarters and is engaged in an economic activity. What are the maximum limits for transactions?
The maximum limit of the total value of the debit transactions (including withdrawals, transfers and check withdrawals) in the account, with a daily maximum of 60,000 Egyptian pounds and not exceeding 200,000 Egyptian pounds per month, provided that the maximum account balance is 150,000 Egyptian pounds and such limits can be changed according to any amendments by the Central Bank of Egypt.
Companies account: If the applicant to open the account is a company or micro-enterprise that has commercial register or license to practice the activity . What are the maximum limits for transactions?
The maximum limit of the total value of the debited transactions (including withdrawals, transfers and check withdrawals) in the account, with a daily maximum of 80,000 EGP and not exceeding 400,000 EGP per month, provided that the maximum account balance is 1,000,000 Egyptian pounds and such limits can be changed according to any amendments by the Central Bank of Egypt.
Who are the account beneficiaries?
Any of the customers, provided that he is a holder of a valid national ID, whether he is an individual, a self-employed person or a craftsman, as for the companies, it can open the account with the commercial registry or license to practice the activity, taking into account that a financial inclusion account can be opened for non-Egyptians residents, provided that the account is opened in Egyptian currency only.
Is it possible to open the account with the national ID card only?
Yes, the national identity document is accepted or passport for non-Egyptian residents according to the applicable in the bank.
Is it possible for a student or unemployed person to open an account?
Yes, the age for opening a financial inclusion account starts from the age of 16, if the provided national ID card is valid.
Is it possible to increase the balance of the financial inclusion account over the agreed limits?
In this case, the increase in balances over what is applicable requires the customer to change the account type to a different bank account after completing all the required papers according to the applicable in the bank.
Can a customer who has other accounts in Arab Bank open a financial inclusion account?
No, a customer who has other accounts in Arab Bank cannot open a financial inclusion account.
Can a person who owns a page to sell products on any social media platforms open a financial inclusion account?
Yes, a person who owns a page to sell products on any social media platform can open a financial inclusion account as an economic activity account.
